Description Summary

Monitors Company operations and maintenance records to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and company policies and to ensure safe and reliable system operation.  Assists with development of standardized procedures and policies related to system design, integrity management, construction and maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

 

Monitors, evaluates, and reports performance of company operations to ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, including facility maintenance, system surveillance, leak reports and repairs, annual reports, regulatory notifications, regulatory inspections, and related activities.  Conduct field audits of company operation to determine level of safety and compliance, and areas of improvement.

 

Maintain liaison with OPUC and WUTC pipeline safety representatives.  Represents Company at OPUC and WUTC meetings and field inspections.  Respond to government audit findings & make recommendations to address company performance.

 

Oversees maintenance tracking systems for safety and compliance tasks

 

Oversees Company Procedures update and release processes for Operations department.

 

Creates company standards, procedures, and policies related to pipeline safety and pipeline integrity.

 

Performs other duties and assignments as required.

Requirements Minimum Qualifications

 

Education:  Requires a Bachelor of Science degree (related to engineering or legal preferred) from an accredited institution, or equivalent experience.

 

Experience:   Utility operations, and compliance, experience desired. 

 

Experience with inspecting, evaluating, and communicating changes to operational practices important. 

 

Requires strong oral and written communication skills.

 

Must have proficiency in operation and use of personal computers with commercially available software. 

 

Work management software experience desirable.

 

Position requires valid driver’s license.  Occasional overnight travel required.

Cascade's Main Office will relocate to Kennewick in August of 2010.  Because of this, the position will be in Kennewick or Seattle, depending upon the selected candidate's location.  Required monthly travel to the Seattle office may be necessary until relocation occurs if the candidate is based in Kennewick. However, employment will be permanently located in Kennewick once the relocation is complete.
