My client is a 13 hospital system serving the Midwest for more than 30 years.  Each of the hospitals within this group has an even longer commitment to the community and together they have been bringing care to the people of Wisconsin and Illinois for more than 100 years.  The various hospitals within the system have won awards for both quality of care and for service in the community.


Responsibilities:

We are looking for a candidate to to be the VP of Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement over the Eastern division of the overall group.  The Eastern division encompasses 3 major medical centers and well as various clinics and doctors offices.  The VP would work with facility quality directors and medical staff leaders to facilitate the development of a culture of quality patient care and the timely reporting of safety issues.  In addition, the VP will be tasked with developing a standard methodology for Quality and PI over the 3 hospital system.  The VP will be asked to report to the board on a regular basis to update them on the progress of the systems Quality Department and to make them aware of any issues the hospital is facing.

Requirements

Qualifications: 

  

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing and a Master degree in healthcare or healthcare related field required
  • R.N with at least 5 years acute care experience
  • At least 10 years Quality Assurance experience with 5 years of management experience
  • Experience with JCAHO standards required
  • Experience over either a multi hospital system or a very large (+600) single hospital required
  • CPHQ highly desired
