Work as a Laboratory Assistant in an Environmental Chemistry Lab!

Our client is a global professional services firm, who partners with government and commercial clients to deliver consulting services and technology solutions in energy, climate change, environment, transportation, social programs, health, defense, and emergency management.
This position is in a lab environment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in an organic extraction lab preparing environmental samples for analysis.
U.S. Citizenship or permanent residency is required.
Must pass medical clearance and background check.
Starting salary is $25- $27,000/year to commensurate with experience.

Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- BS or AS Degree in Chemistry or related field
- 0 - 2 years Experience
- Ability to lift 45 lbs
- Attention to detail
- Good verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Excel and MS Word
- Aptitude for chemical analyses and instrument operation
Job responsibilities include:
- Wash and prepare laboratory glassware and other devices
- Conduct inspections of laboratory equipment
- Prepare samples and other wastes for disposal
- Prepare samples for analysis
- Assist in other laboratory tasks as required
