Description
Responsibilities Include:
  • This is a Senior Financial or Cost Analyst
  • Conduct cost studies for all functions and activities across the entire organization. Update regularly.
  • Lead the organization in identifying, defining, and documenting cost drivers and cost functions.
  • Aggregate, analyze, and synthesize cost and activity information.
  • Provide assistance and guidance to functional area managers and senior management to create understanding of costs and cost studies.
  • Create overhead allocation methodologies.
  • Work proactively and effectively with all functional areas across the organization.
  • Develop and maintain cost accumulation process.
  • Develop and maintain reporting framework.
  • Work closely and effectively with Management Accounting & Reporting department regarding budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Conduct business and project reviews, as requested.

Requirements Successful Candidates will possess:

 

  • College graduate with Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Graduate level degree in Accounting or Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
  • 4-6 years of progressive cost or financial analysis experience in financial services industry a must.
  • Experience in conducting cost studies and or activity-based costing. Must have ability/experience in identifying cost drivers.
  • Understanding of general ledger and accounts payable systems.
  • Full understanding and experience of defining various types of costs, including overhead, fixed/variable/step, direct/indirect, marginal, and average.
  • Experience working with overhead allocation methodologies.
  • Experience with specific activity-based costing software or similar software.
  • Ability to assess results, create executive management summaries with commentary, and make recommendations.
  • Able to establish, maintain, and grow effective business relationships across organization.
  • Must be able to engage in collaborative problem solving.
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize and manage numerous projects in a high pressure and timely environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication required, as well as ability to present to executive management.
