Description
Gilchrist Construction Company, LLC, a fast paced heavy highway contractor, headquartered in central Louisiana, is now recruiting equipment operators for our operations in the Lafayette, Lake Charles, Shreveport, Winnfield, and Alexandria, LA areas. These positions include operators for track hoes, dozers, graders, and other miscellaneous heavy equipment.

Requirements

- Ability to operate equipment in a safe manner at all times
- Ability to work on projects in the Lafayette, Lake Charles, Shreveport, Opelousas, and Alexandria areas as required by project needs
- Ability to work up to 70 hours per week during high-peak project times
Physical Aspects of the Position:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
- Must be able to work in severe weather conditions; both heat and cold
Additional Standard Requirements:
- Must be DEPENDABLE
- Pass Background check, Physical & Drug Screen
