Position Overview
Responsible for accurate, timely, and efficient setup of loans for servicing. The setup process establishes the baseline quality and accuracy of loan servicing data, driving the long-term customer (borrower, investor, payee and internal customer) experience with loans serviced by RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing by ensuring a high level of data integrity and quality. Individual must be able to work under general supervision.
Working Relationships
The New Loan Set Up Specialist will report to the Customer Support Supervisor; must develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, co-workers, vendors, and customers.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
· Assist in all aspects of New Loan Set/ Loan Boardings.
· Complete all Manual boardings with minimal supervision.
· Assist Loan Transfer Coordinator in completion of Transfer Audit Reconciliation.
· Reconciliation of Trial Balance, Corporate Advance, Loan Level reporting.
· Ensure correct mapping of Payees, ARM plans, PMI, Hazard and Tax Lines.
· Configure Stops and Flags, Late Fees, NSF Fees, Class Codes and Man Codes.
· Complete Note Sampling Review of 30% of each Boarding.
· Ensure accuracy of loan data through testing.
· Perform manual system updates as requested from outside departments.
· Ensure Goodbye/Hello Letters meet RESPA guidelines and are mailed within correct timeframe.
· Assist Special Loans Research Process with daily workflow as needed.
· Prepare exception reports and resolve exception items.
· Identify trends affecting efficiency, quality, and accuracy of New Loan Set Up administration processes and recommend action plans to improve future performance.
· Communicate with Transfer Coordinator regarding exceptions to identify and resolve issues and trends.
· Identify potential issues or concerns and participate in a solution, including recommending and developing new policies and procedures.
· Assist in the completion of special projects and seasonal projects.
· Display professional customer service skills, creating an acceptable level of customer satisfaction.
· Maintain consistent attendance record to ensure fulfillment of essential functions.
· Perform all duties in accordance with RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing policies and procedures, investor requirements, and all state and federal regulations.
· Perform other duties as requested by Customer Support Supervisor.
Requirements
· 3 or more years mortgage servicing experience preferred, preferably in New Loan Set Up/Boarding.
· HS diploma or equivalent required.
· Some college preferred.
· Thorough knowledge of mortgage servicing documents and processes, particularly those related to New Loan Set Up/Boarding.
· Thorough knowledge of federal, state regulations and investor requirements related to New Loan Set Up/Boarding.
· Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
· Accounting and math skills.
· Strong oral and written communication skills.
· Mortgage servicing application knowledge, preferably with Fidelity.
· Professionalism.
· Problem-solving skills, identify issues and concerns and participate in solutions.
· Able to multitask
