Major medical device company is searching for a Catheter Process Development Engineer.

Requirements
-
This engineer must possess technical expertise, experience and drive to immediately contribute to catheter process development projects.

Three or more years experience in catheter process development and/or production (3 years minimum in medical devices for Engineer II, 5 years minimum for Senior Engineer, 8 years minimum for Sr. Engineer II).

Demonstrated technical expertise in the design, development and manufacture of catheter based medical devices in automated and manual processes.

Experienced with extrusion and related processes.

Experience with FDA requirements for medical device development and manufacturing. Familiar with FDA validation requirements. Experienced in contributing to a design history.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
BS in Chemical, Materials, Plastics Engineering, Polymer Science or closely related field or equivalent experience – MS Engineering or Plastics degree preferred.

Experience with development and validation of processes for prototyping and manufacture of intravascular catheter related medical devices required (i.e., extrusion, lamination).

A record of innovation, including patents, publications and/or professional technical presentations.

Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology preferred.

Experience with running DOE’s and statistical analysis preferred.

Proficient with SolidWorks and Statistica software.
