Dialysis Corporation of America partners with physicians and hospitals providing the needed balance to consistently deliver high quality care to patients with failed kidney function.

We have an experienced management team with expertise in facility design, staffing, initial survey and continuous management services. Policies and procedures are in place to successfully receive Medicare certification in hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis. DCA provides the tools, highly trained staff and comprehensive renal care services that enable the nephrologist to focus on what is most important - caring for patients.

We are currently seeking a full-time Biomedical Tech Specialist for our Kenwood  facility located in Cincinnati, OH.  This position will report to the Facility Administrator.  

General responsibilities include:

 

  • Preventive maintenance and miscellaneous repair of all dialysis related equipment as recommended by the equipment manufacture’s specifications.

  • Perform calibrations and operational checks on dialysis related equipment using standardized test equipment.

  • Document all service rendered on the equipment and maintain accurate maintenance records for all dialysis relayed equipment.

  • Perform electrical safety testing on all dialysis related equipment.

  •  Maintain preventive maintenance calendar on all dialysis related equipment.

  • Order and maintain limited parts inventory for dialysis related equipment.

  • Follow protocol for parts ordering as per Technical Services Equipment Request Procedure.

  • Perform water system sterilization and culture collection as per AAMI recommendations.

  • Consult with Technical Manager and Facility Administrator on difficult maintenance problems to determine cost effective recommendations for improvements.

  • Perform minor physical plant maintenance within capabilities.

  • Assist the Facility Administrator in determining the need for facility repairs and maintenance.

  • Coordinate major repairs with outside vendors as necessary.

  • Perform ongoing training and support to staff on dialysis related equipment.

  • Practice considerate, respectful manner towards patients and staff at all times.

Requirements
  • High School Graduate

  • Associates Degree in Electronics or Bio-Medical Technology preferred.

  • Valid Ohio driver’s license required

  • Must be an experienced Biomedical Tech

  • Minimum three years experience working with dialysis related equipment, knowledge of Braun Dialog Plus Machines preferred, including maintenance and repair and knowledge of clinic water systems, cultures and follow-ups.
