Rasmussen College is currently seeking a Career Services Advisor to join our team in Aurora, IL.

The Career Services Advisor is responsible for providing in-depth career assistance to the Rasmussen College student body. This service also benefits the community by offering highly qualified and productive employees to meet employers’ hiring needs. The Career Services Advisor is accountable to the Campus Director and Director of Career Services.
Job Description:
- Meets standard for weekly phone contacts with employers.
- Meets standard for weekly job orders from employers.
- Meets employer expectation for number of resumes or applicants for open positions
- Actively seeks unpublished employment opportunities through employer site visits
- Responsible for marketing students and graduates to employers by sending resumes and identifying candidates for the employer.
- Effective and timely follow up with employers to track resumes and interviews and manages the relationship between employers and graduates during the interview and hiring process
- Consistently conducts post-placement employer calls and visits to ensure satisfaction
- Serves as a campus resource for employer contracts and works in coordination with campus Professional Education Managers.
- Provides consistent and timely mentoring to Career Development students and faculty
- Provides systematic and consistent student coaching on resume writing, portfolio development, and job seeking skills
- Meets standard for weekly student employment interviews conducted
- Maintains weekly contact with students/graduates in need of career placement assistance
- Maintains current contact information for graduates
- Provide current Rasmussen students with guidance and contacts for employment that allows them to continue to meet his/her educational goals and compliments his/her school schedule.
- Maintains a current job placement board and Placement Wall showcasing graduates
- Organizes and manages job fairs, employer visits, and career-focused events
- Partners with School Directors, Faculty, and academic leaders to improve the awareness and knowledge of career opportunities for each major/profession
- Works closely with other departments to ensure prospective and current students have accurate and in-depth information about career opportunities for graduates in all majors
- Manages Commencement Ceremony with the support of campus management team
- Develops collaborative relationship with campus and System employees and management.
- Is involved in the College’s planning and growth by serving on special task forces, departmental, and campus committees.
- Provides constructive input to assist the College in decision making and growth.
- Implements and supports policy and procedural changes.
- Participates in campus and System meetings, in-services, orientations and events as requested.
- Maintains a professional image, attitude, and work area.
- Actively promotes Rasmussen College in the community, on campus, and with students
- Track all graduate paperwork to ensure that each graduate file is complete.
- Track all graduates in SalesForce software system.
- Document all graduate contact in SalesForce.
- Prepare all requested verification forms accurately and on time.

Requirements
· A Bachelor’s Degree is required and a Master’s degree is preferred
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· 3-5 years experience working in a career services, recruiting or outside sales setting
· Experience counseling individuals through difficult decisions
· Experience with outside sales/job development/outreach/public relations
