Description
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for providing electrician services to the facility. This includes building wiring, installation of new circuits, installation of new equipment, moving existing equipment, and trouble shooting of electronic controlled equipment.
Accountabilities:
·Repairs, builds, and inspects building wiring systems, motor control circuits, and electronic circuits.
·Bends rigid and EMT conduits up through 2 inches.
·Runs conduit within building and on machinery.
· Provides drawings of wiring control circuits.
·Documents, schedules, and coordinates daily work; reports same in department log.
·Assists in safety maintenance throughout plant, offices, and on all company property.
·Makes personal decisions on highly diversified work.
·Able to stand, bend, twist, climb, lift up to 80 lbs, push/pull, stack materials, crawl, and perform tasks in confined space for duration of working shift.
·Reads electrical schematics and building drawings.
·Understands trouble shooting, and repairs PLC controls.
·Scheduling work and projects and ordering required parts and materials.
·Participation in daily Flex & Stretch program.

Attributes and Characteristics
·Reads and uses adjustable precision instruments (metric and standard) (e.g.: micrometers, electrical meters, gauges, calipers, metering equipment, pipe benders, etc.
·Ability to comprehend, record, and retain necessary journals (e.g.: PM log, fire system and test chronicle, work order files.
·Ability to perform mathematical conversions using decimals and fractions.
·Must have prior experience in a manufacturing plant providing maintenance on production equipment
·Electrician license preferred.
·Knowledge of PLCs, VFD & servo drive set up.
·Knowledge PC integrated software, software & hardware installations as well as system backups.
·Knowledge of accepted procedures for the safe and proper handling of hazardous chemicals and materials.
·Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out, confined space, PPE, fall-protection policy and procedures.
