Preschool Center Director / Asst Center Director

Preschool Center Director description:

• Overall responsibility for operation of the School
• Ensures that the School is operating in accordance with Company and state licensing standards.  
• Responsible for operating procedures to provide an educational, caring, and safe environment for the children and parents, to promote the positive image of Tutor Time in the community, and to achieve profitability for the company.

Preschool Assistant Center Director description:

• Overall responsibility for the operation of the Center in the absence of the Center Director and assists in ensuring that the Center is operated in accordance with Company and state licensing standards and operating procedures. 
• Will assume clerical duties as assigned.

Preschool Center Director Requirements:

• Directors must be able to react quickly with sound judgment and problem solving skills in complex and critical situations such as injuries and accidents.
• Directors must be qualified and able to perform the duties of any member of the staff from Teacher to Food Specialist to Vehicle Driver.
• Directors must possess excellent communications skills, including personal face-to-face communications with parents, staff and children, the ability to receive and respond to telephone inquiries, and excellent written communications through letters and personal computers.

Preschool Assistant Center Director Requirements:

• Must be able to react quickly with sound judgment and problem solving skills in complex and critical situations such as injuries and accidents.
• Must be qualified and able to perform the duties of other staff members as assigned by the Center Director.
• Must possess excellent communications skills, including personal face-to-face communications with parents, staff and children, the ability to receive and respond to telephone inquiries, and excellent written communications through letters and personal computers.
• Frequently lifts or moves weight as in lifting, carrying, and holding children and infants of 10 to 60 pounds.

Minimum Qualifications for both positions:

• Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience.
• Bachelor's degree required.  Prefer degree in early childhood education, child development or a health related field.
• Prefer a minimum of two years in licensed childcare with at least one year as a Lead teacher or supervising a childcare program.
