Transportation Team Leader

Description Wilcox Professional Services, LLC is a national multi-disciplinary engineering and design/build firm providing a wide range of services to the industrial, development, government and transportation market sectors.  We currently have an immediate opening for a Transportation Team Leader in our Farmington Hills or Lansing, Michigan locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Transportation Team Leader is responsible for managing complex transportation projects, personnel management, business development, quality management, business planning and budgeting to meet the Wilcox Transportation Market metrics.  Routine tasks include proposal preparation, contract negotiation, managing complex transportation projects, work load planning, evaluating team performance against objectives, hiring personnel, addressing personnel issues, performance reviews for staff, compensation recommendations for staff, attendance of Team Leader meetings and regular coordination with the market Vice President.  This individual will need to be a seller-doer with a thorough comprehension of the transportation market in the State of Michigan.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to self-manage and have a successful record of leadership in a similar managerial position.  A proven track record of monitoring and professional development of staff will be considered a plus.  This individual should have strong decision making capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree is required (BSCE).

• 10-15 years experience in the design and construction of transportation infrastructure.

• 10-15 years MDOT experience preferred.

• Professional Engineering registration or ability to obtain registration in Michigan.

• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
