Description Sherpa Project Solutions is working with a large financial institution in support of their Credit Risk technology groups and is looking for a strong Technical Project Manager to manage end-to-end projects within the group. These are long term engagements that offer high visibility within the group they support. The role will encompass the following area of responsibility:

 

  • End-to-end lifecycle accountability for the Technology & Operations components of initiative delivery
  • Employ standard project management discipline and processes in delivering the right technology solution to the business partner on time and within budget (i.e. management of integration, scope, time, cost, quality, personnel, communications, risk, and procurement)
  • Employ the Standard Software Process (SSP) in initiating, planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects within the Six Sigma Change Process (SSCP)
  • Manage project budget with input from project stakeholders, including senior managers and business partners
  • Interact with project support organizations, including Finance, the Training Group, Resource Management, SQA, etc.
  • Ensure development of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Request resources (associates and/or contractors) from Resource Management and assign them to tasks
  • Coordinate with the person performing the role of Resource Management with regard to resource planning, tracking, and performance
  • Track actuals against plan and budget
  • Identify, prioritize and resolve issues as they arise, including, but not limited to, issues of project progress
  • Communicate/integrate with Leadership, Business Partners, customers and external groups, as needed
  • Select the appropriate technology solution to meet the business requirements, and employ suitable tools, techniques, and methodologies in accordance with the SSP
  • Plan and lead the work of initiative teams and motivate them to deliver
  • Ensure adherence to applicable practices and standards, including architecture, the SSP, coding, privacy, etc.
  • Share knowledge and best practices adopted/originated in the project with other projects
Requirements End to end business analyst, help manage project budget, six sigma methodologies, etc.
