Jacobs works on the system-level design and installation of a broad range of applied systems and technologies with a focus on the transportation and security industries. We are seeking a Senior Engineer/Program Manager to provide support to our clients in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).   This opportunity is a high growth area for Jacobs working with nationwide clients.  In this role, travel will be required to meet with clients and visit projects.  As Project Manager of ITS, you will have the opportunity to grow our business in this area, provide exceptional service to our clients, and change our world.

• Provide direct consultation with Transportation clients on ITS needs developing innovative solutions to complex issues.
• Design communication solutions including road signs, wireless communication, traffic design, roadway optimization, and linking communication devices.
• Create the intelligent transportation design plan for regional, citywide and national clients.
• Provide guidance on improving efficiency and lowering cost of operations for clients.
• Implement updates to the ITS Deployment Plan.
• Conduct studies of recommended practices, lessons learned, and evaluation of operations.
• Assist with project documentation and program justification, budgets, estimates and assessments.

• Bachelors of Science in an Electronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline

• 10+ years of experience in ITS planning and development

• 10+ years experience with ITS architecture

• Must have broad concept of operations

• Must have excellent consulting and written and verbal communication skills

• Must have thorough knowledge of ITS and newest technologies in that space.

• Must have program development and planning.

• Project management and training experience desired.

• Ability to travel and valid driver’s license.
