RepuCare is a leader in providing healthcare staffing and talent acquisition needs of healthcare providers, federal and state sponsored health plans, corrections, occupational health and on-site clinics Position Summary Under the direction of collaborating physician, provides advanced practice nursing care for patients within the Occupational Health setting. Also performs a wide variety of marketing, administrative, educational, clinical and supervisory duties within the Occupational Health Department and serve as consultant/advisor to the nursing and administrative staff. Assume responsibility for personnel and patient care within the Occupational Health Department during their operational hours. Responsible for the treatment, follow up and monitoring of injured workers for client companies within the system.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with protocols developed in collaboration with the supervising physician performs advanced physical and psychosocial assessments of patients and orders appropriate treatment, tests and prescribes medication.
Develops a holistic plan of care that meets physical, psychosocial, rehabilitative, discharge and chronic disease needs of both the patient and his/her family.
Evaluates learning needs of patient and family and provides age-specific and culturally appropriate education.
May also perform advanced skilled procedures as directed by physician.
Occupational Health Responsibilities
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Education Required: Master's of Science in Nursing from an accredited program.
Licensure/ Certification: Current RN licensure. Nurse Practitioner Certification by ANA, BLSHealthcare Provider, ACLS preferred. Duties require intensive knowledge of a highly specialized field and broad knowledge of major functions or activities. Evidence of continuing education is also required.
EXPERIENCE:
3-5 years of experience is preferred.
INDEPENDENT ACTION:
Functions independently within broad scope of departmental policies and practices; generally refers specific problems to Regional Practice Administrator or Medical Director only where clarification of departmental policies and procedures may be required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Duties include direct supervisory responsibility for personnel and activities of the Occupational Health Department, in collaboration with the Regional Practice Administrator. Provide functional or technical supervision of multiple personnel; which may include: contracted vendors implementing the Occupational Health Program, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Service, Laboratory, Radiology, Nursing, etc.
