Are you looking to make a difference?  If so consider joining the American Red Cross, the largest supplier of blood, plasma and tissue products in the United States.  The Red Cross is currently seeking a Supervisor to support our blood services division within our inventory and distribution department.  As a Supervisor you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising assigned personnel to include developing, evaluating and providing guidance/coaching/counseling/training and/or disciplining to enhance employee/departmental success and ensure a well-qualified team.

  • Working in conjunction with Manager to interview and hire staff.

  • Developing and maintaining staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage 12/7 as well as time-off for staff; minimize overtime; handling payroll using e-Time system.

  • Ensuring processes are consistently followed to minimize outdating of blood product inventory.

Requirements Qualified candidates must possess an Associate’s degree in related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Minimum five years work experience in related field including supervising staff.  Ability to prioritize tasks, problem solve and use analytical skills.  Possess effective written and verbal communication skill and have working knowledge of MS Office Suite.  Demonstrated ability to build and maintain business relationships and promote a customer service driven work environment.
