Description Senior Developer - Options Market Making

Our client, a leading derivatives trading firm, is looking for a Senior Developer - Options Market Making to join their organization in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in working closely with trade staff and quant staff in identifying opportunity, designing new functionality and implementing solutions. As a senior member of the development team, the Senior Developer - Options Market Making will also help steer software design and project direction. Mentoring junior developers will also be critical to the success in this role. Our client offers a discretionary bonus based on performance.

Responsibilities:

* Be an integral member of a cross discipline group responsible for delivering new functionality to a rapidly expanding trade desk.
* Be responsible for developing requirements, proposing solutions, and delivering software into production environment in a timely and robust manner.
* Develop creative solutions to pressing business needs.
Requirements * 7+ years of experience developing C++, but experience in Java or C# is a plus.
* Experience working on an Options Market Making team.
* Experience working in a Unix / Linux environment, but experience in cross platform development is a plus.
* 5+ years of experience working with front office trading applications.
* Experience building distributed real-time systems.
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field is required.
