Scientific (Laboratory) Instrumentation Sales


 

-Immediate Opening due to expansion

 

Our client is an international leader in sales and service of new and recertified scientific laboratory instrumentation from most major manufacturers.  In these economic times their services are even more in demand!  Territory sales representatives call on a variety of clinical diagnostics, molecular biology, and chemical analysis labs in start- up companies, academia, clinics and hospitals, and biotech/ pharmaceutical labs found in market segments. 

 

The dynamic individual we seek to join our team will be responsible for selling the full line of Instrumentation and products primarily in his/her respective territory.  Our client has both inside and outside sales territories open.  Responsibilities will include identifying and qualifying customers, matching instrumentation solutions to customers’ technical requirements and applications, quoting and closing sales.  Although we’re looking for capable “hunters," plenty of warm leads provided!  20% travel or less.
Requirements

Minimum requirements:

  • 4 year BA or BS degree
  • 1+ years of documented success in medical sales
  • Communication skill excellence
  • Demonstrated strong closing skills
  • Customer focus
  • Independent Minded!  Although our client will provide plenty of support, they aren’t looking to have to micro-manage their reps!

Preferences:

  • Clear comprehension of function and use of common laboratory equipment (ex: chromatography, centrifuges, molecular biology instrumentation, etc.)
  • Research instrumentation and /or clinical laboratory instrument sales experience
  • One  year lab/research experience is a plus

 Our client provides excellent benefits, and an attractive, commission driven compensation. 

 

Projected first year earnings $80k – top rep made $200k in 08.)
