Description
The Estimating Manager will provide overall preconstruction service/estimating direction for multiple construction projects. Responsibilities include establishing project objectives, creating estimates utilizing scope of work and working with internal/external stakeholders. May provide services for design/build, negotiated or plan and spec work. Will participate in work acquisition processes including presentations to clients. Directs and/or performs analysis of preconstruction solutions. Leads a team of estimating and project management resources in the preconstruction process.
The successful candidate must be capable of providing preconstruction services, including estimating to manage technically challenging projects while assuring client satisfaction.
Requirements
Seeking candidates with a 4-year construction engineering or construction management degree or equivalent combinations of technical training or related experience and at least seven (7) years of successful commercial experience as a project manager/estimator. Experience providing estimating and preconstruction services for commercial projects up to $25M. Ability to utilize Word, Excel and Timberline estimating/PM software required. Excellent, demonstrated client presentation and communication skills required. Demonstrated project cost management and estimating data management skills essential. Experience in Higher Education, Healthcare and Federal Government projects preferred.
