Description
Perrigo is the world's largest manufacturer of over-the-counter pharmaceutical and nutritional products for the store brand and contract manufacturing markets and an emerging developer, manufacturer and marketer of prescription generic drugs.
Reporting to the Analytical R&D Associate Director, this position will supervise an analytical staff of 4 or more scientists and technicians and provide analytical leadership for supporting solid dosage product development. Additionally, this position will lead efforts in developing, validating, and transferring new analytical methods, testing development and stability samples, and approving analytical documentation for multiple analytical projects.
Requirements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. A demonstrated ability to work on project management teams is essential.
Experience Required
This position is expected to have a solid (hands-on and theoretical) understanding of all analytical instrumentation and techniques. This position will also require a strong understanding of the regulatory submission (ANDA, ANDs, etc.) and registration process. The successful candidate will actively interact and communicate with all levels of Formulation R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Pre-Commercial QA , Scientific Affairs Project Managers, and StageGate Project Managers, to achieve organization goals and influence decisions. Effectively working with decentralized resources (sites internal and external to Perrigo) is critical to this position.
Bachelors degree in Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Sciences with 5 or more years of pharmaceutical experience or an MS in Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Sciences with 0-2 years of pharmaceutical laboratory experience.
