Description Global leader in the development of medical devices seeks a QA Microbiologist.  The QA Microbiologist will be responsible for the site's microbiology lab, supporting new product introduction, maintaining sterility assurance of sterile devices and regulatory compliance.  Additionally he or she will develop, validate and document the sterilization process, and support manufacturing environmental control. 
Requirements

 

  • B.S. in Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering (mechanical, chemical or related field.)
  • 3+ years experience in microbiology sterilization
  • Expert knowledge of FDA guidlines including GMP, GLP, ISO 9001, SOPs.
  • Expert knowledge of sterilization, including EO, irratiation, steam, and biological safety and process residues including ethylene oxide
  • Experience developing sterilization validation studies and writing protocols
  • Cleanroom design, testing requirements and experience analyzing related data
  • Significant experience developing and performing biological tests, and developing and documenting sterilization processes.
  • Excellent verbal and technical writing skills
  • The ability to work within a cross functional matrix as the site expert on microbiology and sterilization, providing expert input on standards of sterilization.
