Senior Engineer, Testing

Our team creates Qt-based UI frameworks for Nokia Symbian Devices targeted toward this collaboration.  We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to lead testing for our Mountain View Scrum Team.

You will lead the hand-on testing for a Scurm Team building Qt-based UI components.

What you will do:

• Create test plans and test cases including coding functional test applications
• Carry out testing including functional, unit, and release testing
• Manage clear and effective communications around test issues both within our team and as a representative to other teams
• Manage workflow around issue tracking systems
• Coordinate with build teams to ensure our deliverables and unit tests are building properly
• Initially this is an individual contributor position.  However, there will be opportunities for management as the team grows.

• 3-5+ years hands-on test experience for mobile devices
• Experience in writing test plans, test strategies and test cases as well as test case execution and reporting.
• Willingness to perform hands-on testing
• Ability to work in an agile software environment with rapidly changing requirements and specifications
• Highly motivated self-starter.  Self-directed including ability to create own test plans based on product specifications and requirments
• Knowledgeable in the fundamentals of good test management:  functional testing, unit testing, and system testing
• Knowledge and willingness to work with bug management systems such as bugzilla
• Work experience at one or more of the following companies: Apple (iPhone), Google (Android), Palm (Palm OS, Windows Mobile), Motorola (MotoMagx, Android, Windows Mobile), Danger (Sidekick), ACCESS (ALP), Azingo/Monta Vista/Wind River (Mobile Linux), Sun (J2ME), Adobe (Flashlite), Yahoo! (Yahoo Mobile), Qualcomm (BREW), Microsoft (Windows Mobile), RIM (Blackberry), Sony Ericsson (Xperia), or OpenWave.
• Experience with Qt is highly desired.
