-  Acts as the guiding Corp Sanitation Function

-  Familiar with ‘best cleaning practices’ within the food industry & knows companies that produce industrial cleaning compounds.

-  Makes sure all cleaning materials/compounds are USDA approved and that proper safety practices are being followed.

-  Oversees all the plant Sanitation (Cleanup) Depts/Groups to see that they are doing an adequate job and have formal clean up schedules w/ assigned responsibilities in place.

-  Make plant visits to help Sanitation Groups prepare for Sanitation Audits

-  Oversees and conducts Sanitation Audits

-  Conducts Equipment Design assessments

-  Assists the QA Corp function in conducting QA Audits (some cross-over between Sanitation Audits)—e.g. Checking with the Maintenance Dept to make sure they have their own GMPs and are following plant GMPs

-BS in Microbiology | Food Science | Animal Science | Chemistry

-Leadership in Managing Quality in a Meat Processing Environment of 5 to 7 Years

-HACCP | Food Safety | GMP Principles Knowledge

-Excellent verbal and written Communication Skills

-Ability to Travel Up to 50%
