Description The PRODUCT SPECIALIST will champion cell imaging products by working with the sales team to maximize revenues. The main focus will be understanding client's needs and mapping these convincingly onto the products capabilities. This role will involve extensive face time with prospects through the needs assessment and proving phases of the sales cycle, and day to day co-ordination with Account Managers. The secondary focus will be speaking engagements (seminars, conferences, trade shows, etc.) and assistance with development of collateral such as data sheets and applications notes.

Products include continuous live cell imaging and analysis platforms and automated detection, selection, and harvesting of stem cell colonies. The area supported is primarily the US and travel is expected to be up to 70%.

Requirements Educated to degree level in a relevant life science discipline with a successful track record in the cell culture/life science imaging segments in a product specialist role. PHD or post grad. research experience in a related subject such as cell imaging or cell biology would be a distinct advantage.

Detailed knowledge of cell culture techniques (including stem cells) and cell imaging is a must.

Ability to understand customer applications and an ability to explain how solutions can provide value in solving problems.

Effective communication skills and ability to explain technology and concepts verbally, visually, and in writing.

Understanding product management and selling processes and how to provide tools and resources to support them.

Ability to travel up to 70%
