DISTRICT MANAGER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary
The District Manager is responsible for all aspects of their district’s operations, including the successful management of the teams they supervise. Two of the most critical responsibilities are ensuring employee welfare and increasing the profitability of their district. To accomplish these goals the District Manager must possess and display strong leadership and decision-making skills, a never-quit attitude, a superb work ethic and unquestionable integrity. District Managers are first line of defense when it comes to recruiting branch personnel. In essence, you as the District Manager are responsible for everything your branch does or fails to do. While Our company prides itself on promoting from within, we will not overlook the wealth of talent that is available outside the company.
Qualifications
Either 1 year of successful branch management experience with 3 plus years of proven managerial experience in the STAFFING industry.
Exceptional communication skills are essential. It is imperative that a District Manager be able to communicate effectively with all levels of people, from general laborers to upper management of client companies concerning all aspects of policies and procedures
Commitment to professional and personal growth through education and self-improvement
Demonstrate a working knowledge of financial documents and corporate policies and procedures.
Managing the fiscal requirements of the district, including profit and loss and district budgeting.
Developing and implementing strategies to address human resource and EEO issues.
Contacting customers on a daily basis and working towards securing sales by managing customer relations for expanding and growing the business.
Promoting and ensuring a team environment between sales and branch operations.
Maintaining ongoing and efficient communication with staff and corporate departments.
Conducting risk management audits to ensure branch managers are in compliance with corporate and governmental rules and regulations.
Duties
Contacting all your assigned branch personnel regularly to reinforce expectations regarding sales and service reporting and providing assistance, when needed.
Recruiting general labor, skilled labor and qualified management personnel
Dealing with personnel issues as they arise.
Learning and knowing customers to provide excellent customer service
Ensuring Managers are dispatching qualified workers to the customers’ job sites.
Following up on all Risk Management and human resource/relations issues.
Trouble shooting branch operations to ensure profitability.
Servicing existing customer accounts and soliciting new customer accounts.
Monitoring branch dispatch sheets and call logs.
Ensuring managers are conducting safety inspections of the customers’ jobsites.
Ensuring managers are maintaining a clean, safe and professional work environment.
Monitoring Dodge Reports for new and upcoming business, and being aware of all major construction projects and major industrial targets in your district.
Ensuring accuracy and timely filing of NTO’s.
Maintaining contact with clients whose accounts are delinquent or at risk of delinquency.
Conducting effective and professional interviews to recruit new talent.
Monitoring billing reports and addressing recurring issues with branch personnel.
Conducting compliance audits of branches and mentoring the branches to rectify compliance issues.
Reviewing sales actuals including;
a) computer codes, pay and bill rates, checking gross margins,
b) over 50 hour reports to ensure fraud is not occurring, and
c) new sales report to ensure credit is properly applied.
Ensuring that Branch Managers receive their profit and loss statements timely, and reviewing the statements with the branches.
