CONSUMER INSIGHTS MANAGER

National Event Marketing Agency is seeking a Tampa based Consumer Insights Manager.  The Consumer Insights Manager is responsible for developing meaningful and compelling insights to deepen the connection with our client’s customers and consumers.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Create a rich understanding of our consumers in a way that informs and drives the direction of the brand for our client
  • Ensure high quality deliverables are met in a timely manner
  • Oversee consumer insights and strategic marketing projects to meet critical timelines
  • Identify consumer and customer research needs, and determine the most appropriate methodology to meet these needs
  • Design market research methods and seek to actively improve existing research channels
  • Identify, develop, monitor and improve quality of data collection sources
  • Identify strategic and tactical issues, and design/analyze research to address them
  • Translate learning’s into clear, action-oriented strategies and tactics that drive the business forward
  • Leverage research for development of strategic marketing and product plans
  • Effectively communicate findings from research to management via presentations and reports
  • Conduct strategic research studies as assigned by Director, including: segmentation, buyer reaction studies, consumer intercepts, customer satisfaction, brand perception, switching and loyalty studies, consumer wants and needs, attitudes and behavior studies
  • Identify and articulate consumer & brand insights to all levels of the organization

 

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS is required (Marketing, Marketing Research, Business Administration, Psychology or Sociology)
  • Minimum 3-5 years related experience in a corporate or agency environment
  • Retail and/or restaurant industry experience a strong plus
  • Experience designing consumer research (qualitative and quantitative), with emphasis on marketing and/or product development
  • Experience analyzing data to make actionable business decisions and recommendations
  • Experience in other related disciplines (CPG marketing, brand marketing)
  • Proven ability to objectively interpret research - extracting insights, linking to strategies, and communicating in a motivating way
  • Experience with developing presentations to consistently bring the "consumer to life"
  • Ability to translate information into effective strategies and drive results
  • Ability to create studies from start to finish - including identification of objectives, development of questionnaires, actionable analysis and presentation of findings to various levels
  • Effective storyteller - ability to integrate disparate sources of information and bring the information to life as clear actionable insights
  • Flexibility to tackle additional consumer insights projects as needed
  • Strong business perspective beyond traditional consumer insights boundaries
  • Experience with grassroots marketing.
  • Capacity to quickly understand a complex brand and product portfolio
  • Willingness to travel when required

  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office programs - Excel, Word, Outlook, Access
  • Bilingual a plus, but not required

This is a full time position with benefits to include health insurance, 401K eligibility, paid holidays and vacation. Competitive salary offered - based on experience.
