We're looking for a Culinary Services Manager to ensure that our dining staff provides consistent, pleasurable culinary experiences for residents, family members, guests, and staff in a transformational way according to MLW policies, procedures and standards of performance. The Culinary Services Manager creates meaningful moments in the lives of residents, visitors, and staff by demonstrating EMI (Eliminating my Impossibilities) behaviors.


Essential Functions:

  • Ensures residents, guests, family members, and staff receive quality dining service.
  • Selects dining service staff and provided on-going supervision, training and performance management.
  • ensures a safe and clean dining environment and adherence to safe food handling, proper personal hygiene, and sanitation procedures according to HACCP guidelines.
  • Maintains professional communications with residents, family members, guests and staff.
  • Responds to resident feedback, addressing concerns in a timely, professional manner.
  • Oversees wine bar and lounge operations to maintain high quality beverage service.
  • Manages dining services operations within approved budget.
  • Creates meaningful moments in the lives of residents, visitors, and staff by demonstrating EMI (Eliminating my Impossibilities) behaviors.

 
Secondary Functions:

  • Actively participates in resident and staff meetings.
  • Provides input for creation of cycle menus. Percent of time spent performing this function: 2.5%
  • Develops tools and plans in-services for regular staff training. Percent of time spent performing this function: 2.5%
  • Coordinates all theme meals and/or functions. Percent of time spent performing this function: 2.5%
  • Responsible for timely and accurate documentation requirements including performance reviews, scheduling, invoice transmittals. Percent of time spent performing this function: 2.5%

Requirements

Required: 3-5 years progressive supervisory experience in a dining service environment; able to multi-task in fast paced environment. Knowledgeable of job related federal, state and local regulations. Able to establish and maintain professional and positive relationships between service and productions staff and to make independent decisions as needed.


Preferred: Computer skills, certification in food safety/sanitation
