Chief Informational Officer/ Network Administrator
Louisville, KY
Galen College of Nursing has a great opportunity for a Chief Informational Officer (CIO) at its corporate office in Louisville, Kentucky. The right person will be able to provide employees with top quality, consistently available computer service, support training, and maintenance of all computer systems used throughout all campuses.
Galen College of Nursing is a private educational institution focused solely on quality nursing education. With campuses in Louisville, KY, Cincinnati, OH, St. Petersburg, FL, and San Antonio, TX, Galen has graduated over 7,000 nurses since it was founded in 1990. Currently, Galen is one of the largest private nursing colleges in the United States.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of Galen College of Nursing’s Information Technology department and services.
2. Develop and promote a comprehensive strategic IT plan for the College, ensuring IT department goals are consistent with
Galen’s values, mission, and goals.
3. Prepare information for executive management that addresses how technology can impact the success of all College
constituents, and the College itself.
4. Assess and evaluate the impact of teaching and learning in the development of new technologies.
5. Develop and propose new ways of using technology for employee and student use.
6. Ensure the IT department offers excellent customer service to all College constituents.
7. Manage the Network Administrator and all College IT staff, with the ability to train all College constituents in the use of
information technology.
8. Manage long-term partnerships with vendors, suppliers, and technology partners.
Requirements
Qualifications:
· BS degree in Computer Science and at least 7 years work experience in all
phases of computer operations.
· Experience directing employees in a data processing environment.
· In depth and complete knowledge of all aspects of data processing.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Ability to analyze and solve problems.
· Ability to prioritize and organize.
