Description Position Summary

 

This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Admissions in managing and training a team of Admissions Representatives in addition to meeting or exceeding personal sales goals set by the Director of Admissions.  The Associate Director of Admissions position is a professional development path into management (DOA) and the employee must be willing and able to relocate when a suitable DOA position becomes available.  This position is responsible for conducting such activities in accordance with state and federal accreditation and campus policies and regulations, consistent with the highest ethical standards.

 

Primary/Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Complies with all Federal, State, accreditation and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Assists the Director of Admissions in management, obtaining data for reporting purposes, and/or manage the Admissions Department in the DOA’s absence.
  • Meeting and/or exceeding weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales goals set by the Director of Admissions.
  • Learn all aspects of admissions management.
  • Meet or exceed recruitment goal expectations.
  • Assists and trains the admissions staff in order to maintain an aggressive, goal-oriented admissions sales team.
  • Assists in setting goals and integrate sales initiatives with admissions department and representatives.
  • Assists in developing referral and personal leads.
  • Assists in managing lead flow and distribution.
  • Assists in overseeing student projections, no shows and first-day to start drop rates, reports and gathering data.
  • Works with admissions representatives on student applicant issues.
  • Assists in oversight of enrollment process: inquiries, phone calls, interviews & enrollment process.  
  • Motivates admissions staff to meet and/or exceed campus targets and standards on an   

      On-going basis.

  • Accurately and completely portrays educational programs, expected outcomes, career     

      services and financial consideration to students and buying committee.

  • Consistent follow-up with all enrollments to assure successful start and completion.
  • Participates in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities including: open houses,

      training sessions, orientation programs, career days, etc.

  • Conducts all activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards. Adheres to all state, and federal accreditation and Institute rules and regulations regarding student recruitment.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Essential Skills and Experience

 

  • Leadership: Effectively train and lead a team of Admissions Representatives/HS Admissions Representatives to meet or exceed daily, weekly, and quarterly enrollment and start goals.  Able to manage and analyze effectiveness of marketing initiatives, manage conversions, and manage changing processes in the DOA’s absence.
  • Bachelor’s degree and admissions experience preferred; or combination of education and admissions experience will be considered;
  • Must have post secondary education admissions experience;
  • Solid understanding of the education admissions process;
  • At least 2-3 years of non-durable goods sales and/or customer service experience;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including problem solving and conflict resolution;
  • Able to work with people from a variety of diverse social and economic backgrounds;
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to change and make high level decisions;
  • Possess a sincere interest in helping others achieve life goals;
  • Goal oriented, high energy, assertive, results driven and highly ethical;
  • Ability to inspire and motivate employees;
  • Ability to demonstrate partnership selling skills with the ability to close and overcome objections;
  • Computer proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel a plus;
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
