Data Conversion Specialist

If this sounds like you, then Eyefinity/OfficeMate may be the perfect fit for you.  We are expanding our implementation support technology team to continue our leadership position in the eye care marketplace.  We are looking for a candidate that is highly motivated, self directed, and has broad experience in database software and data conversions in multiple environments.

Ideal candidate will typically have 2+ years of experience in each of the following areas:

• Microsoft SQL Server database design and administration
• Working with at least one of the following (Access, Oracle, DB2, Dbase, FoxPro)
• Developing structured software applications (Visual Basic, .NET, or equivalent)
• Interfacing directly with customers and non-technical end users

Preferred Education:

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)

Preferred skills/experience include:

• Extensive database knowledge (SQL Server, Access, Oracle, DB2, Dbase, FoxPro)
• Working experience with XML and unstructured data
• Converting data from various formats to SQL Server
• Writing software to perform data mapping (Visual Basic, .Net, or equivalent)
• Mapping data fields from one application and format to another
• Reconciling original data to converted data
• Professionally interact with clients, customers, and end users
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel and Work weekends, nights, and flexible hours
• Desire and ability to learn about the eye care industry
