Shipping Clerk / Warehouse Associate

Purpose: Full-time, hourly shipping and receiving position at Internet, decorative plumbing and hardware retailer. Candidate will be responsible for accurately picking stock for customer orders. Candidate will properly pack items and update computer system. Candidate will need to keep stock area clean and organized. Strong attention to detail and ability to learn product is essential of this position. Candidate will benefit from previous shipping and receiving experience and/or plumbing experience.

Hours will depend on shift available, either Tuesday – Saturday / 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 11:30 - 10:00 p.m. Monday -Thursday, both shifts with occasional overtime.

Requirements Essential Duties:

• Accurate Picking and packing of customer orders.
• Properly packing, bracing and sealing contents in boxes for FedEx/UPS shipping.
• General cleanup of packing area and surrounding facilities.
• Stocking shelves and shipping supplies.
• Maintain correct inventories in computer system using WMS wireless scanner and MS Windows software.
• Correctly label and barcode inventory and shelving.

Other duties include: Stocking shelves, processing returns as needed, computer usage, general cleanup and maintenance of stockroom and surrounding facilities.

Warehouse environment. Employee will be walking / standing for the majority of the shift. Warehouse is not fully climate controlled.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to maintain accurate written and computerized records.
• Ability to use Microsoft Windows, Computer and keyboarding skills.
• Proficient in warehouse operations and WMS wireless pocket pc scanner, rating and manifest software.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and maintain shipping equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Detail oriented with math skills.
• Ability to operate lift truck.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years proven warehousing experience.


Pay rate and Benefits:

• Position is full-time / Hourly, starting rate is $13.50-$15.00 per hour.
• Shift differential if second shift is assigned.
