Burns & McDonnell has an exciting opportunity in our Kansas City, MO office in our Construction Design/Build group for a Turnaround Planner. 

 

Job Duties:

This position is for a part time turn-around planner.  A planner applying for this position will need to have a minimum of 10 years of turn-around planning and estimating experience in the Refining Industry.  This position will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Review/analyze the turn-around scope of work for contract compliance, completeness, and constructability in order to prepare turn-around packages and estimates.
  • Incorporate turn-around packages into a Primavera P6 logic driven CPM schedule for internal and client review.
  • Prepare progress curves if required.
  • Review turn-around schedules, progress curves and estimates with internal and client management and revise as necessary.  Prepare a turn-around schedule narrative if required.
  • Review and comment on contractor turn-around schedules and estimates when required.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, construction management or another related field.
  • A Minimum of 10 years of experience in project controls work on engineering and construction projects, including planning, estimating, forecasting, scheduling, cost control, schedule control, and project reports.
  • Proficient computer skills with an emphasis on Primavera P6. 
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
