Installation Supervisor – Level 4

The Installation Supervisor is responsible for performing all installation activities as defined in the job specifications, job drawings, job MOP, all appropriate manuals  as applicable.  The supervisor may also be responsible for writing detailed steps of a Method of Procedure for on-the-job direct awards, etc.  The supervisor is responsible for calling weekly time into the office for themselves and crew, reporting when vacation or other pay issues need attention, reporting any injuries on their jobs.  These activities will be accomplished in a manner that delivers a high quality of installation and confidentiality.  Good safety and housekeeping practices will be observed at all times.  Installation supervisor will utilize quality-checking milestones and self assess their workmanship and techniques for compliance with for specifications.  At the conclusion of the quality auditor’s review, the installation supervisor will be responsible for the clean up of any discrepancies found, a copy of the finalized audit report will always be sent to the supervisor, and defects will be rectified in a timely fashion.  The Installation Supervisor will be instructed in techniques to prevent future variations with on the job training or per the Training Matrix Program.  Installation Supervisor also assumes any other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed by immediate supervisor.

Education/Experience:  High School diploma and meet Level 4 requirements as outlined by customer or per GR1275. Install, Test, Turnup Adtran, UMC1000, TA3000, OC systems and other various types.

Ongoing on the job training with Butler Operations Manager and Butler Installation Superintendents which includes training on all customer required standards and administrative forms. Orientation to include Butler ISO 9001:2000 Quality Manual and processes. 

Customer required training; Asbestos Floor Drilling, and Cable hole fire stopping.

Organizational Relationship:  Reports directly to Project Manager or  Operations Manager.
