Studies receiving or shipping notices, requests for movement of raw materials and finished products, and reports of warehousing space available to develop schedule for material handling activities.
Confers with supervisors of other departments to coordinate flow of materials or products.
Monitors container inventory to ensure adequate supply to meet customer and production needs.
Prepares shipments.
Communicates potential part shortages to plant.
Directs training of workers to improve work performance.
Understands and meets all customer requirements and demands.
Works with Materials/Shipping/Production to maintain 100% deliver performance and ensures that all shipments are made as required by the customer.
Extended Experience in Automotive/Shipping environment as it pertains to customer systems (Honda, ACH, Ford, JCI, AAM, DCX), customer service, Shipping paperwork, EDI and ASNs
Bachelor's degree (B.A., B.S.) from four-year college or university; or five years plus related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
