Description Brief Description:       

 This position is responsible for leading and motivating our team at the Middletown Banking Office (IRC89241) in Fairmont, WV.  The Banking Office Manager position is FT, M-F, and some Saturdays.  Manages the day-to-day sales & operations.  

 

Detailed Description:  

 The Banking Office Manager position provides "Simply the Best" customer service and leadership at all times.

 

  • Acquires new and expands existing consumer and business banking customer relationships in addition to day-to-day management of a banking office.
  • Maintains knowledge and educates the office team on products, services, technology and policies.  Ensures high quality, accurate customer service every time. 
  • Develops and implements business and sales plans and ensures all team members are working toward these goals through individual sales and referrals to specialized areas of the Bank. 
  • Fosters and develops community relationships. 
  • Has a banking office operations responsibility, such as ensuring that the team is trained and applying technology, policies and procedures. 
  • Complies with Bank security practices. 
  • Coaches, counsels, develops work schedules, is responsible for hiring, terminations, salary adjustments and/or disciplinary actions. 
  • Maintains customer confidentiality at all times.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications

 Bachelor's degree in business related major or equivalent of 2 years sales management experience, preferably in financial services  

  • 3 years Retail Banking sales experience with heavy emphasis on consumer and business development required
  • Must have proven success meeting established sales and referral goals for banking products and services to include investment and insurance products
  • Must have Series 6 Securities license and Insurance License in good standing or obtain within a timeframe identified by management

Other Traits, Characteristics and Experience

  • Experience managing both a sales and operations team preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and develop individuals and the team to high achievement in both sales and service
  • Banking experience and community involvement in the local market helpful
  • Excellent customer service skills and behaviors; is highly motivated, focused, and goal oriented
  • Must have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • PC and internet proficiency

Based on experience this position may be filled at the senior level.
