Student Advisor

The Student Advisor is responsible for helping to prepare students for beginning their first college classes. This will involve making sure the student has the proper books and study material as well as access to a computer to attend class and complete coursework. They will walk the student through Student Orientation. They will make sure that all new students are comfortable with the process and are ready to interact within the Online Learning Platform. This position will work within a team that will consist of Admissions Consultants and Financial Planners. Additional duties will be required as assigned by the DOA.

Other Duties Include

• Interface with and support Admissions, Financial Planning and Academics
• Follow Up with students through the beginning of their second mod at SHC Online
• Keep detailed records of who has completed the orientation and who has not
• Provide outstanding service and assistance to all current and prospective students
• Ensure zero error rate in data gathering and entry
• Quality check all work and perform duties in a timely manner, and meet all deadlines and goals
• Maintain database in an organized, error-free manner
• Track student progress and attendance
• Other duties as assigned

• Associate’s Degree preferred
• Prior student services/advising experience preferred
• Must be extremely detail oriented
