Description 2 year contract at the Hanford Nuclear Site in Richland, Washington

Criticality Safety Representative (CSR) has the following responsibilities: a.) Serve as liaison for criticality matters between organizations having custody of fissionable material and all other organizations; b.) Advise operating personnel and supervision on questions concerning conformance to criticality safety requirements; c.) Assist facility management in preparing training material and conducting job – specific and periodic criticality safety training; d.) Advise the operating organization about the need for a new or revised CSER; e.) Ensure new or revised CSER’s are prepared and reviewed according to the requirements of this document; f.) Prepare and/or approve all new CPS, updates of existing CPS, and any temporary changes to a CPS or similar documentation; g.) Prepare Adequacy of CSER Forms, as described in Chapter 4 and facility specific criticality programs, as applicable; h.) Provide technical guidance for the design of equipment and processes and for the development of operating procedures; i.) Review new or revised procedures impacting nuclear criticality safety; j.) Oversee fissile material operations; and k.) Confirm criticality nonconformances and support recovery actions.
Requirements

Education: B.S. in Engineering, physical science from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.

Experience: 2 years performing NCS analyses using listed analytical tools; OR an M.S. or Ph.D. in applicable fields may be accepted as a substitute for all or a portion of the 2-year experience requirement.
