Description

Start Up:

Coordinated product movement with Forklift Operator
Know what the product schedule states and the sequence products are to be run. Inform line helpers of boxes tone used in the runs.
Check machine for loose, missing or broken parts and make sure all safety guards are in place before start up.
Set up per machine specifications, using flow chart.

Operation:

Instruct line workers to clean machine during changeovers and set up of new product.
Monitor continually and document results of seals, seal temperatures, check weights and oxygen levels using weight charts. Notify supervisor if specifications are not met.
Notify supervisor prior to completion of run to allow utilization of personnel during changeover.
Instruct production line to keep production area clean at all times, such as quick lock machines, conveyer belts, sweeping and other duties as directed.
Observe and assist when necessary packaging personnel to assure proper casing and palletizing of product.
Organic and allergen training.

Requirements High School Graduate or GED
Good communication skills
Good organizational skills
Good basic math aptitude and ability to use scales and calculators
Basic Mechanical aptitude
Be able to lift up to 50lbs
Attention to detail and accuracy

Dersired:
Good penmanship
Good sense of teamwork and urgency
Some experience in packaging environment preferably operating machines

Physical:
Able to lift up to 50lbs
Able to stand 10-12hrs
Stoop and bend up to 20 times per hour
