Currently Rimkus is looking for a Principal Architect experienced in the design and construction of buildings and engineering projects. You will determine the cause and origin of construction defects and/or construction phase disputes and assist clients in their resolution.  Duties involve the investigation and analysis of commercial, industrial and residential properties for the purpose of resolving claims and legal disputes. You will prepare oral and written reports that document causes and origin of various types of failures and recommended remediation. Other duties include gathering photographic evidence, conducting interviews and providing expert testimony.  You will also assess standard of care on building design and construction issues and complete code reviews to address issues such as building envelope design, egress standards, ADA requirements, and slip/fall hazards. 

Minimum Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture; 15 to 20 years plus experience in building design and/or construction. Registered Architect.  Testifying experience as an expert witness a plus. Willingness to travel for regional assignments required.
