Description

Chosen candidate must be willing to spend 30 days at our corporate facility in training with both the HR Department and business unit.

Chosen candidate must be willing to travel.

Chosen candidate MUST have a minimum of 2 years recruiting and general human resources experience.

 

JOB FUNCTION:

The primary objective of the HR Generalist is to assist the HR Business Partner role in developing, implementing, and administering HR procedures, policies and programs to support the business.  The HR Generalist participates in the planning, execution and evaluation of HR process processes, including performance management, talent review, compensation and selection.  They must ensure that processes are aligned with and support the business objectives.

General Responsibilities

 

  • Recruits and hires hourly and salaried employees and processes new hire paperwork
  • Interfaces with operations daily on staffing needs and employee relations
  • Coordinates and conducts initial new hire orientation program
  • Present offer letters to candidates, establish start dates, schedule pre-employment testing
  • Coordinates and administers pre-employment tests; conducts and evaluates reference and background checks
  • Works with operations to manage correctice action/ disciplinary action for branch
  • Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains book
  • Prepares and maintains employee files
  • Maintains other records, reports, and logs pertaining to applicant flow procedures
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review forms.
  • Performs customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions.
  • Maintain Human Resources Information system records and compiles reports from database as needed.
  • Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
  • Handles administrative and clerical duties as requested by supervisor. Including typing, and distributing letters and memorandums to managers, employees, and external contacts.
  •  Coordinates all appointments, meetings, and interviews. Contacts and/or faxes all employment ads that are requested to be placed.
  • Acts as liaison between employees and HR staff directing inquiries to the proper individuals.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel
Requirements

 

  • Bachelors or Associates degree preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration or other related field.
  • Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of Human Resources
  • 2-5 years experience as a generalist or recruiter preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3-4 years of general office experience.
  • Previous operations experience is a plus.
  • Proficient computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point and working knowledge of Access.
  • Professional oral and written interpersonal communication
