Mental Health Counselor / Therapist

Be part of one of the premiere child and adolescent mental health systems in the state.  NWCGC is a mental health agency that provides intensive, therapeutic Day Treatment services in 11 locations statewide to children and adolescents who have severe emotional disorders. 

NWCGC is currently seeking mental health therapist to work a part time position out our Northwest Journey - Eau Claire program. You will not only be the primary therapist for individual clients and their families but you will also provide some clinical supervision of the other mental health professionals (Bachelor’s Level) employed at the site.

You will work with your on site team, local community providers, schools, and parents and with assets throughout the agency.  Working with NWCGC, you will have the resources of a large agency with the advantages of a small office environment.

In this Clinical/Therapist position you will:

• Complete intake and initial assessment evaluations,
• Assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive treatment plan
• Conduct weekly individual and/or family sessions
• Design creative, thorough discharge/aftercare recommendations and plans
• Provide clinical supervision and guidance for Bachelor’s level mental health professionals.
• The therapist also participates in weekly clinical supervision that is provided on site by a Licensed Psychologist.

Candidates must meet these minimum qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Counseling or a related field
• 3,000 hours post graduate supervised experience

Therapists should have knowledge and practice of family systems theory and be comfortable in utilizing an active, versatile, systemic approach in creating and implementing interventions with clients and in the clinical supervision of a dynamic, treatment team approach.  The ability to give and receive constructive feedback is imperative.
