Summary of Position:
Under the direction fo the Youth Wellness Director, the Physical Education Instructor is responsible for leading toddler through elementary age children through various creative movement and structured sport/play activities. The incumbent must have the ability to organize and manage children in a safe environment. The incumbent must also demonstrate the YMCA mission and character values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsiblility.
Requirements
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Incumbent must have a mature, cooperative attitude and be capable of dealing positively with a variety of people in a busy facility. A working knowledge in the areas of strength training, cardiovascular fitness and general health & wellness principles required. Basic knowledge of human anatomy and physiology needed. Current CPR and First Aid certification is required.
SALARY
$9.25/hr - $13.00/hr
