Description

Full Time Medical Assistant needed for fast paced, busy Dermatology office in the Cool Springs area. Candidates must have previous experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·         Escorts patients to exam rooms in order of appointment times and prepares for 
           treatment

·          Performs selected nursing and administrative duties.

·         Ability to perform venipuncture and gives injections 
.         Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including 
          sterilization and sterile technique.

·         Assists physicians in preparing for minor surgeries

·         Assists with surgical procedures, scheduling of surgeries, laboratory tests and
          treatments.

·          Provides general information on departmental policies and procedures.

·         Notifies the Clinical Lead when clinical and office supplies need replenishing.

·          Assist in maintaining patient electronic medical records and other information to 
          contribute to accurate data gathering.

·         Attends required monthly meetings.

·         Maintains patient confidentiality.

·         Provides pricing for cosmetic procedures, and  obtains all necessary consents as
          applicable

·         Patient education on treatment plans and medication

Requirements

 ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

·          Knowledge of medical and skin care terminology.

·         Good understanding of skin anatomy

·         Good problem solving and analytical skills

·         Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

·         Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

·         Ability to work as a team member.

·         Ability to write medical prescriptions.

·         Well-organized with attention to detail

·         Ability to work well with physicians, anticipating their needs in regard to patient treatment.

 

 

EDUCATION –Graduation from a recognized training facility for medical assistants is preferred.

EXPERIENCE – At least one (1) year of experience in a physician practice is preferred.

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE – CPR certification, preferred or ability to obtain
