Requirements
We are currently seeking a Process Engineer for Spencer, WV facility. This position will report to the Plant Manager and work closely with the Production team, Chemists, and customers on a variety of process-related tasks to support the plant production activities.
Responsibilities include:
• Qualify numerous product formulas for the facility.
• Coordinate and monitor mixer trials to ensure product formulas can be processed and manufactured to meet customer needs and requirements.
• Manage Extrusion standard start-up parameters, troubleshoot process problems, and manufacturing processes as needed.
• Conduct process audits.
• Engage in process-improvement projects utilizing statistical tools and methodologies, and identify and implement corrective actions as required.
• Provide direction, leadership and mentoring and development for the Mixing Lab and Process Technicians.
Requirements include:
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with an emphasis in polymer science.
• 2-5 years previous manufacturing experience, preferably in closed cell foam rubber or tire manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and trouble shooting skills.
• Possess computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Exhibit excellent communication skills.
