Senior Industrial Estimator

Position Summary: The Senior Industrial Estimator will develop bid strategies and lead and execute the entire bid process for both negotiated bids and hard bids.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain budget control during Estimating/Precon phases of the project.
• Provide value analysis solutions including cost/schedule implications.
• Represent Mc Industrial to subcontractors through management of the estimating process, including solicitation of bids and constructability input.
• Coordinate bid efforts, processing RFI’s, and interfacing between bidding community and design team members on negotiated projects.
• Assist in the development and training of other estimating staff.
• Assist the Marketing department in preparation of responses to RFP’s and RFQ’s.
• Participate in interview preparations for negotiated bids.
• Assist in the prequalification process.

Desired Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

• 7+ Years of Experience in the industrial construction field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Engineering required.
• General knowledge of construction principles/practices required.
• Experience dealing with subcontracts and self-perform work.
• Experience leading successful team ventures, including development of employees and maintaining relationships with external entities and subcontractor community.
• Experience working in different geographical areas.
• Ability, willingness and patience to mentor young estimators.
• Ability to interact with customers on a professional level.
• Ability to work in a group environment and manage resources.
• Concentration in the power, chemical process and petroleum segments a plus.
• Contacts / Relationships / National Organization Affiliations that can open doors a plus.
• Extensive knowledge in the following areas a must:

       o Equipment Erection
