REHABILITATION SERVICES MANAGER

Summary

• The Rehabilitation Services Manager provides leadership for the Rehabilitation Services Department (Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech/Language Pathology) in the development and implementation of interdisciplinary patient-outcome focused rehabilitation services and programs. 

• The Manager is responsible for staff recruitment, training and retention; providing input into the annual operating and capital expenditure budges for the department; development and implementation of department policies and procedures, treatment protocols consistent with the hospital vision, mission and strategic plan; participation in measurement, assessment and improvement of rehabilitation services and programs.

Knowledge/Ability

• The ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) with medical and administrative staff as well as patients and families, in a professional manner. 

• Excellent organizational and leadership skills. 

• Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously. 

• Ability to organize and manage departments, meetings, and inspections. 

• Ability to efficiently manage departments within budgetary constraints.

Education/Experience

• The Manager is a licensed Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech/Language Pathologist.

   

• Bachelors Degree required, Masters preferred. 

   

   

• Minimum of two years supervisory or management experience is required. 

   

   

• Current BLS required.
