Description Performs a variety of diet office tasks which involve the transfer of written and verbal information concerning the patients-including diet, meal selection, food preferences, and complaints. Must be familiar with therapeutic diets.

Data is entered into the computer and reports are processed throughout the day. The Dietetic Assistant monitors computer generated tray tickets for diet, allergy and preference compliance. Checks patient trays for accuracy and "calls" patient tray line. Must do staff relief as Guest Representative or tray line as needed.

20 hours per week
Coverage for the following rotating shifts:
2:30-6:30pm, 4:00-7:30pm, 5:45am-2:15pm

Shift, weekend and holiday rotation required.

Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

Experience: Prior Food Service experience in a health care institution required.

Special Qualifications: Knowledge of therapeutic diets required, computer experience required.
