The Company
Our client is a leading supplier of special machine tool with customers in the metalworking industry. They are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to be come part of the engineering team in Rockford, IL.
The Opportunity
The Software Engineer will become a part of a development team that develops software dedicated to the design and manufacturing of composite structures for a variety of applications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for “manufacturing process integration" for composite parts
- Improve manufacturing process integration
- Analysis, design, programming, debugging, and modification of the software
- Deliver short-, mid- and long-term cost estimations for projects
- Develop and track schedules and budgets
- Customer support for process integration
- Analyze and investigate applications engineering tasks and prepare
design specifications, analysis, and recommendations.
- Ensure products and services provided by the company meet the highest
standards
- Become very knowledgeable of the entire Hardware & Software
infrastructure for automated machine tools and robotics equipments
- Working closely with other departments to meet the division's goals
- Meet deadlines and company goals
- Demonstrate continuous improvement philosophy
Requirements
- BA / BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Alternatively: BS degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
- Sufficient experience in a software development environment.
- Programming skills (C++ , java, perl, CAA preferred).
- Structural analysis and design experience, knowledge of composite material.
- Experience in using CAD system.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows based development.
