Description L-3 Communications Crestview Aerospace provides aircraft structures, major airframe assemblies and military aircraft modifications for leading Prime contractors and OEMs in the aerospace industry. Our facilities are located in the heart of the Gulf Coast aerospace region, serving our customers with an attitude and commitment to get the job done on time, with the highest level of quality and value. Job Description: Performs a wide variety of electrical and avionics removal, modification and installation of aircraft electrical systems wiring. Assembles, routes, and clamps electrical cables and wire harnesses on aircraft. Strips wiring, crimps and solders pins, inserts pins and install connectors on electrical cables. Uses hand tools and electrical test equipment. Follows electrical drawings, schematics, safety procedures, military specifications and Standard and Technical Manuals to accomplish assigned tasks.
Requirements High School education required plus 6 years of electrical aircraft experience. Prefer Beech Craft King-Air electrical and structural experience. Describe the physical requirement of the job (e.g. Bending, lifting, overhead work): Must be able to climb ladders, stairs and portable stands and navigate these without assistance. Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: heat, cold, noise, vibration, and proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or chemicals. Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, balance, push, pull, kneel, grasp, crouch, and crawl. Must have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes. Must be able to stand for sustained periods of time. Must be able to walk for long distances or move from one work site to another. Must be able to work primarily with fingers such as picking, pinching or typing. Must be able to communicate effectively. Will have substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Must be capable of routinely performing industry standard ambidextriosities required to complete tasks. Must be able to lift/maneuver up to 40 pounds. Must pass color blind test.
