Description
POSITION DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
Oversees and directs accounting, budgeting, forecasting, business office activities, insurance, real estate, and cash management for the organization.
Maintains GPO and vendor contracts, lease and maintenance agreements, and banking compliance records.
Responsible for appraisal and presentation of financial position, stability, liquidity and growth to the Executive Committee and other physician oversight committees.
Directs the Controller in procedures and computer application systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services, including accuracy of financial statements, trending analysis, and monthly forecasts. Also directs activities regarding custodian of funds, securities and assets of the organization.
Oversees internal control procedures as related to cash, accounts receivables and liabilities.
Directs, coordinates and actively involved in the preparation of the annual financial budget, including capital and salary budget process.
Directs and analyzes studies of cost accounting, statistical data and trends, and their impact on the organization.
Prepares pro forma analysis of capital expenditures and their financial impact on the organization.
Evaluates and recommends business opportunities such as expanding or providing additional services or eliminating unprofitable or marginal services.
Maintains inventory oversight and directs the Materials Manager in procedures necessary to maintain proper records, control costs, and cost accounting.
Works with the Human Resources Director in analyzing and implementing policies, procedures and benefits of the organization and their impact on the organization’s operations.
Oversees reconciliation of tax filings.
Works directly with the Compensation Committee and President/CEO on analysis and revision of the Partner’s Guaranteed Payment Formula.
Works closely with the Executive Director and Medical Group President in all aspects of clinic operations, as directed.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
(Education, Experience, Specific skills or knowledge)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or Business Administration required. Masters degree preferred.
Ten years experience in senior financial position.
Five years experience in senior financial position in a healthcare setting.
